"On September 8 -
the GHoT conducted an investigation at
the Gainesville haunted house (just
north of Dallas.)
This location is the most haunted place
I have personally been to. We all had
personal experiences on some level. Two
investigators felt sick to our stomach
standing in this one particular location
at different times. Two investigators
(not the same two) where touched. The
heat was just about unbearable. The air
was so thick, it was hard to breath. We
actually felt the atmosphere lighten up
and get heavy from time to time.
One of my brand new Lorex IR cameras
malfunctioned. The brand new AC
upstairs failed to cool the bedroom,
even though the compressor did kick off
and on that room never cooled. It felt
like the heater was on.
I can't explain the feelings. We have a
scientific approach to these
investigations and our resident skeptic
was even questioning what was going on.
The end of our investigation was marked
when I had a really bad nose bleed.
I've never had a nose bleed in my life.
I've spent a week in Arizona in the
middle of July and managed to avoid a
nose bleed. Maybe the heat upstairs in
that house sustained more heat then
standing in one of Arizona's arid
deserts in the middle of summer??? It's
the only possibility I can think of for
causing the nose bleed, since they can
be caused by dry heat. Roo argued that
the heat was not dry, but humid. Like I
said, not much made sense in this
house. Yes, it would have been nice to
have an ambient temperature reader, but
we were without one this trip! The next
group to investigate should really focus
on temperatures. Down stairs in the
storage room was really really COOL.
Dani and I felt a couple of cold spots.
We are talking about a 30 degree
temperature variation from upstairs to
down in those two cold spots.
None of us claim to be psychic, with
that said....I had an overwhelming
sensation of the presence of a 10-12
year old girl. Dani had a vision of a
man with a mustache. I also had a
sensation that we were being "toyed"
with. Again, this is our personal
accounts, and our school of thought is
personal experiences can be explained
away using logic or reason. We can talk
ourselves into and out of occurences by
second quessing ourselves, "was that
real or did I imagine it?" So it's
difficult to deem a place "haunted" with
little or no hard evidence.
However, I believe once you hear some of
these EVP's we've caught, you may be
convinced. It validates our personal
experiences for sure. We are still
coming through the video footage. We'll
get it all posted on our
ghosthuntersoftexas.com site as well as
our myspace.
stay tuned....." |
