This weekend belongs to TRIP, a group out of Austin Texas. They've had a few last minute cancellations from within their group. So here is an opportunity for a few lucky people....... If you have a group so small that reserving the house for a small hunt has been cost prohibitive, contact me by email.
there is enough room for a small group (3 or 4) to join with TRIP on Saturday night and still have fewer than 10 people in the house. Your team could do an investigation for the cost per person of a full meetup group. The first team (no more than 4 members) to contact me and put up a deposit gets it.
Pretty short blog, but there it is......

was VERY active almost immediately. So much so that we didn't get to break in to the "false wall" above the closet. Jimmy is signed up for the Meetup on Jan 24th and we're definitely going to do it first thing that night.
Scott (aka dowsing rod Scott) was there Saturday and he was kept very busy showing everyone how the rods work and helping those who were interested to connect with "dearly departeds". Not everyone was interested in that aspect of it, but those who were interested thouroughly enjoyed it.
It was a friendly mix of Skeptics, Spiritualists and "seasoned" ghost hunters. There were lively discussions about the validity of laser thermometers and other equipment. There was also a lot of talk about a general lack of knowledge on how to use some of the more common equipment. It made me wonder if we should start offering classes on equipment and it's use. If you would be interested in such a class, please let me know. If you know someone who would be a good instructor for a class, please let me know that, too.
Back to Saturday night......There were a lot of EVPs gathered. Several were during the tour. In fact, the non corporeals latched the hook on the upstairs closet just before the tour started. I was standing in the window room and asked someone who was close to the closet to make sure it was unlatched. He said it was latched. It was a surprize to me because we make a point of leaving it unlatched. I asked him to unlatch it and there is an EVP of someone else saying "LATCH IT". (Someone who was not physically in the room.)
There were also quite a few photos that may have apparitions. We'll see who posts what in the next few weeks. People have a tendency to discount their own photos when they get them home and put them on the computer and really look them over.
No hunts this weekend. We're resting up for the fully booked following 4 or 5 weekends.
I'll let you know when the EVPs and photos come in. You let me know if you;d like to take a class with us one Saturday before a hunt......
We have a private party coming to Hill House Manor for the Saturday after Christmas (27th). Jimmy (one of our Meetup members) is pretty sure that he's found a "false ceiling/wall" on the storage side. We're going to take a hammer to it Saturday night and see what's in there. If you've been to the house you know that another hole in the ceiling won't even be noticed on the storage side. Can't wait to see what we find. I'll try to videotape it and find a way to get that on here.
We are booked every weekend in January (except the holiday weekend.) and a few weekends in February and March. It's great to have so many people getting involved. This is such a great house and I really want to make sure it stays intact and available to everyone. At the rate we're going it looks more and more possible every month.
It's Christmas Eve day and I have so much to do, I'm going to keep this short, but I'll update you on what happens Saturday night.
These ghosts and spirits are getting more and more active. Last weekends hunts were relatively small groups , but there was so much activity I can't remember it all.
The storage side is even spookier than usual lately. One woman was so scared by the "feeling" over there ( and being touched on the ankle) that she wouldn't venture back unless the WHOLE group was going. Even then she RAN through the front room and back to the "safe" side.
Ty has gotten amost everyone hooked on those DVRs that you can record and listen to what you're recording in real time. So there are lots of EVPs being heard as they occur. If you don't think that's scary, try it!
One of the things I love about this house is that the Spirits are having as much fun as the ghost hunters. They are so playful without being malicious. They will give you an experience. But, only what you can handle. It's pretty much agreed that this house is like a beacon in the spirit world. "Bored? Come to Hill House Manor." "In emotional pain? Come to Hill House Manor. They can help you there." That's what the Spiritual Billboard seems to say. It's also becoming a beacon for the living. There is a great healing aspect to being in a place and with people who won't mock or ridicule you because you've had a paranormal experience. Being around people who actually listen and want to know is so important for those who have seen apparitions or heard them or felt them. This is one of the wonders of Hill House Manor.
Of course it's also a great place to test out new equipment. Lot's of people will come here for that very reason. You don't want to test new equipment at the clients home and what better place than a PROVEN haunted house to test and learn?
This weekend is my birthday so we're taking the weekend off from the fun house.
But, We're back the weekend after Christmas and January is almost completely booked. There will be a live broadcast from the house in January. And another one in February. (check the calendar for dates) The February event is all weekend and tickets are still available.
Busy, Busy, Busy!!!! ![]()
See you soon?
We're expecting 2 groups this weekend.
Friday is a private party. Half of the group has been here before. The other half are "newbies". It may be a bit cold, but still potential for a lot of fun.
Saturday is the HHM meetup group. There are still spots available if you're interested in seeing Hil House Manor for the least expensive "ticket". We're planning to do a short driving tour of Old Town Gainesville first. There are some beautiful old homes within a few blocks of Hill House Manor and they should be all decked out for Christmas. Then we'll settle in for a good old fashioned GHOST HUNT!!!!!
Join us if you can.
Del's new CD/Album "Songs Out of Context" is available over the internet. Some of the clips are even on YouTube. It includes the Hill House Manor theme song, so naturally the CD will be available at HHM. You might even talk him into signing your copy.
if you can get him out of his cave.![]()
